The trip to Ko Samui started with this Thailand-Malaysia border.
It took about 12 hours to drive from Penang island to Ko Samui.
Under this hot sun, mirage can easily be seen!
At last we made it to this Donsak Pier. The nearest pier getting to Ko Samui.
After 2 hours of click n’ snap on the ferry, we’ve successfully landed on Ko Samui.
We spent about a day time to reach this hotel – The Chaweng Garden. Phew~
Early morning in the next day – 20 SEPT 2009
There we started our journey…. A Snorkling tour to Ko Tao & Ko Nang Yuan.
Feel peace with this - a little disturbance still sea water.
A fascinating view from hill top of Koh Nangyuan. There’s no other island like Koh Nangyuan in this world. Two islands interconnected by a narrow white sand beach. What a masterpiece from the god of mother nature!
Chaweng Town – located at the east coast of Koh Samui, is the most developed area on the island. There we see, we shop, we buy and we eat.
The 3rd day in Koh Samui – 21 SEPT 2009
Since samui makes its living from being on vacation, so nearly every day is a holiday. There I forgot the time, I forgot the day and date, I forgot the sad things, I forgot the stresses that burdening my shoulder, I forgot about my job.
Island rounding - WE rented a motor with only 200 bath, fuel tank nearly empty. Riding from east coast, in a clockwise direction rounding Koh Samui. And we made a number of stops at places of interest like Hin Ta Hin Yai, Buddha Footprints, Wat Laem Sor, Big Buddha……….
Hin Ta Hin Yai in english means The grandfather & the grandmother. The one shown in the picture is belonged to grandfather.
This is the private part of grandmother? What do you think?
These two rocks which look like genitals are the creation of god?
Deep blue sea with light blue sky, a good combination of colors. That’s why I love nature.
Hill crossing from Ban Harn to Ban Bang Ka. I like the helmet so much. :)
This is Laem Sor Pagoda.
The pagoda stands still next to a shallow clear sea.
After Wat Laem Sor, WE head to the mummified monk temple – Wat Khunaram. WE only stayed for a short time there, then we moved on to next destination – BIG BUDDHA.
Ban Nathon - How good it is if Penang Gurney Drive looks like this!
This is Nathon Pier!
----------------30 minutes from Nathon Pier-------------------
Finally we reached this Samui Big Buddha. It looks like the Tai Fa Buddha of Hong Kong.
--------------------END OF 3rd DAY--------------------------
Leaving day – 22 SEPT 2009
Good bye! Ko Samui
